Ruutsu ( The Girls in The Magnesium Dress) SIGNED COPY - limited edition-

£25.00

Ruutsu (Japanese for roots), is the first recording project by the duo The Girls in the Magnesium Dress, formed by Valentina Ciardelli (double bass) and Anna Astesano (harp), here collaborating with a number of visionary contemporary composers.

The absolute uniqueness of this production is based on three key points:

1) Creation of repertoire for harp and double bass duo,

2) Collaboration with living composers,

3) Homage to that nipponic culture that since the mid 18th century has influenced all western forms of arts.

The far east-inspired artistic trend, in vogue at the beginning of the 20th century, meets the gestures and the styles of contemporaneity. A name stands out, that of Yoshihisa Hirano, famous - in the world of Japanese anime- for the orchestrations of Final fantasy XIII, Resident Evil, The Darkside Chronicles and the composition of iconic soundtracks such as Death Note, Beyblade and many others. As an admirer of Valentina's work, Mº Hirano has made himself available to collaborate with the duo by writing music for the Girls in the Magnesium Dress.
